Mike O'Sullivan is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian/Nutritionist as well as a Personal Trainer. He member of the Dietitian Association of Australia and a registered member of Fitness Australia.
Mike is an experienced Accredited Dietitian with previous roles in community rural healthcare, aged care, corporate health, indigenous health and now in private practice focusing on both simple & complex clinical health issues as well as assisting gym goers achieve their body composition goals.
Before becoming a Dietitian he previously worked as a scientist with multinational biotechnology companies, specialising in microbiology and projects management. He has a very strong interest in biology & chemistry but wanted to work within a more public environment outside the laboratory, which lead him into the area of Dietetics. Here he has been assisting those wanting to improve their health, fitness and lifestyle. He went on to complete further studies in fitness and is also a qualified Personal Trainer.
From his previous life working in science; he brings with him an analytical, scientific, evidence-based approach which guides him in providing the most relevant nutrition recommendations for both patients and fitness clients. He enjoys educating his patients and fitness clients on how nutrition interacts with their body and dispels all of the misinformation out there. He does however provide this in a relaxed, informal atmosphere where people can express their difficulties and barriers toward the health & fitness they are looking for with ease.
